Nathan Rees, CPA

Nate began his career in the alternative investment industry at KPMG LLP. While at KPMG, he supervised and led financial statement audit engagements for several types of onshore and offshore funds.  At Strata, Nate oversees the administration for a variety of funds and is highly involved in the consulting arm at Strata. Nate earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and an MBA from the University of Utah. 

Steve Gardner

Steve began his career in alternative investment fund administration in 2000 and has served in many roles, including Vice President and Managing Director.  Key responsibilities have included administration for a broad range of clients, including domestic and offshore hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity funds and registered investment companies.  Steve received his Masters in Business Administration from Utah State University and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University. 

Josh Cowdin, CPA

Josh began his career at KPMG LLP where he led audit engagements performing annual financial statement audits for over one hundred funds and fund of funds. Since joining Strata in 2009, his duties have included monthly financial statement preparation and NAV calculations, interaction with fund investors, and annual audit and tax preparation and liaison. Josh earned his Masters of Professional Accountancy and his BS in Accounting from Brigham Young University. 

Remington Curtis, CPA

In 2009 Remington joined Strata from KPMG LLP where he worked as an auditor on both domestic and offshore alternative investment funds. He received his BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences as well as his Master of Accounting from Utah State University. While in school, Remington earned a military commission and currently serves as an Officer in the Utah Army National Guard.   

Joseph Rappleye, CPA

Joseph began his career in the alternative investments industry as an auditor for KPMG LLP where he participated in the financial statement audits of several fund of funds.  Prior to KPMG, he gained experience in the fields of internal audit and forensic accounting.  Joseph received a Masters of Professional Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.  He joined Strata in August of 2010.
